Day 01: New Delhi

Upon arrival at New Delhi Airport you will be meeting and assist at the Airport transferred to the hotel.

Day 02: New Delhi and Old Delhi guided sightseeing.

After breakfast embark on to for full day guided tour of New Delhi and Old Delhi. The sightseeing points covered are:
Qutab Minar-the tallest free standing minaret of the world being built by the Slave Dynasty’s founder, Qutb-ud-din-Aybak, in A.D. 1193 it was completed in A.D. 1300.
Humayun Tomb: Visit the Tomb of the second Mughal Emperor Humayun, which was commissioned by his senior wife Haji Begum, in the 16th century. This is an early example of Mughal architecture. The design elements of this tomb – a squat building lighted by high arched entrances topped by a protuberant dome and surrounded by formal gardens, were to be refined over the years to the magnificence of the Taj Mahal.
Photo stop at Raj Ghat the site of the Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation built on the bank of the Yamuna River is a elegant memorial that marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948 a beautiful park has been built around.
Chandni Chowk, originally renowned throughout the Asia with its tree-lined canal flowing down its center. These days it’s a bustling jumble of shops, temples, mosques and craftsmen’s workshops of goldsmiths, silversmiths, silk traders and embroiderers. Explore the hustling and bustling of Old Delhi and streets of Chandni Chowk sitting in a cycle rickshaw.
By Pass Red Fort is 17th Century fort complex built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the walled city which serves as the residence of Mughal Emperor which serves the capitasl of Mughat till 1857 when Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar was exiled by the British Indian Governement.
Continue on to Explore New Delhi drive through the boulevards of New Delhi and pass India Gate which is a memorial built to the 85000 soldiers who died in World War I and the Afghan battles of 1919
At the other end of Rajpath stands the official residence of India's president, the Rashtrapati Bhavan, a complex of buildings that mix Mughal and Western architectural styles. Prior to independence, this was the home of India's last viceroy, Lord Mountbatten. Close by is Sansad Bhavan, the large though less imposing parliament building.

Delhi - Jaipur



Day 03: New Delhi-Jaipur (The Pink City of India) 265 kms/4.5 hrs

After breakfast proceed to the Pink City of Jaipur - the vibrant and colorful capital of the state of Rajasthan. Upon arrival hotel check in. For the rest of the free time we will take you to explore the market of Jaipur which is famous for Gems and Jewelries and local colorful handicrafts of ethnic wears. Evening puppet show/Cultural Show at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Jaipur

After breakfast proceed to Amer Fort and one can sail through the ramparts of the Fort one of the largest fort complexes having many palaces and architectural marble inside the forts. Return to the Jaipur and continue with the sightseeing of City Palace which is a wonderful example of Rajput architecture and Jantar Mantar - the world’s largest stone astronomical observatory. En route photo stop at Hawa Mahal-or the “Palace of Winds” built in 1799 it’s a five story resembles like honeycomb of the beehive with its 953 small windows called Jharokhas, they are decorated with intricate lattice works.
Later after lunch visit to the graceful building of Central Museum was founded in 1876 by Prince Albert (also known as Albert Hall). It has a rare collection of archaeological and handicraft pieces. It boasts of the rich cultural and heritage of the entire state.

Jaipur-Bharatpur



Day 05: Jaipur-Bharatpur (En route Abhaneri Step wells & Rural India)

After breakfast drive to Bharatpur via Abhaneri and Peharsar on the way we will stop in the village of Abhaneri to see Chand Baori, which is the largest and deepest step well in the world. This incredible well has a staggering 3500 steps and is 13 stories deep. Next, we drive on to the rural village of Peharsar, where we walk the backstreets discovering local life, traditions here, we visit Chandra Mahal, a charming haveli (mansion house) with small courtyard, lawned gardens and rustic appeal carefully being restored to the splendour of better farming years if open. After hotel check in at Bharatpur and time to freshen up we visit Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we’ll enjoy a leisurely bicycle rickshaw ride through the park. Day 06: Bharatpur- Agra (The Taj Mahal-CLOSED ON FRIDAY)

After breakfasts proceed to Agra en route we visit Fatehpur Sikri, former imperial capital of the great Mughal emperor Akbar. Built between 1569 and 1585, it has been deserted for more than four centuries, by all accounts abandoned in 1600 due to a meagre supply of water. Arrive Agra Hotel check in and visit to the impressive Agra Fort before touring the legendary Taj Mahal and witnessing a glorious golden sunset. Taj Mahal in Agra is described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love and remains one of India’s most enduring symbols. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 07: Agra-New Delhi (205 kms)

After breakfast we drive back to Delhi en route covering Sikandra Fort-it’s a fine example of Mughal Achitecture and is Mausoleum of Emperor Akbar. Akbar himself commenced its constructions he himself had planned and selected the site later after his death his son Jahagir completed the construction in 1605-1613. Upon arrival at New Delhi. Check into the hotel. Spend the remains of the day at leisure in India’s bustling capital. You can use the day for shopping. Overnight at Hotel.

Delhi to Kochi



Day 08: Delhi to Kochi (Flight)

After breakfast transferred to the Airport to board the flight to Kochi. We catch an early morning flight to Kochi today in the beautiful southern state of Kerala. Long famed in the history books, Kochi (formerly known as Cochin) offered refuge to Jews more than 2,500 years ago. The Portuguese founded the first European colony in Kochi in the 16th century. The Dutch quickly followed and eventually, the British. The cosmopolitan mix of cultures makes the city fascinating. Later after check in and relaxing visit to Spice Market. This evening we watch a Kathakali performance. Kathakali is the fascinating traditional dance form of Kerala. Overnight at Hotel.

Kochi-Munnar



Day 09: Kochi-Munnar (145 kms)

After breakfast proceed for guided city tour where we see the elegant Chinese fishing nets and explore the winding streets of the old town, visiting St Francis’ Church, Parsi Synagogue (exterior only) and a Dutch palace.
After our sightseeing in Kochi we drive east to Munnar - a picturesque hill station nestled on the verdant slopes of tea plantations. Located at a lofty height of 1600m, Munnar in South India offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills carpeted with tea plantations. From many locations in Munnar, one can view Anamudi (2695m), South India’s highest peak. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax or explore the area.

Day 10: Munnar-Kumarakom (Kerala Backwaters)

The next morning we’ll visit a tea plantation, where we learn about the various stages of tea processing. Later check out and proceed to Kumarakom /Alleppey known as the “Venice of East”. Upon arrival hotel check in. Rest of the day for Ayurvedic Massage or visit to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Overnight at Resort.

Day 11: Kerala Backwaters- Stay in Houseboat on Backwaters

After breakfast check out from the resort and board the Deluxe Houseboat at Boat Jetty. These Houseboats are simply furnished private rice-boat for a journey through the lush backwaters. Our private rice-boat takes us sedately along the enchanting palm-fringed backwaters, covering a distance of some 20 kms, during which time the boat glides past local villages and fascinating scenes of everyday rural life. Watch a beautiful sunset over the backwaters and enjoy tasty meals (starting with a late lunch) prepared by the onboard chef using fresh local produce. Overnight - Deluxe Rice Boat.

Day 12: Kumarakom-Poovar (Poovar Island)

After breakfast disembark the houseboat after breakfast at Alleppey. You will be picked up & will be transferred to Poovar near to Capital City of Trivendrum. Check in to the resort where you will stay for next 7 days rejuvenating Meditating and purifying your body and soul. Overnight Resort.

Day 13-19 Poovar Island Beach Resort

You will be staying at the Island Resort rejuvenating, meditating and Purifying your body and Soul. Overnight Resort on full board basis. Day 19: Poovar Island-Trivandrum/Cochin
