The 4-day Janmashtami Tour Package is a spiritual journey celebrating Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna, in the culturally rich city of Mathura and Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. This festival draws devotees from around the world, who come to witness grand celebrations, vibrant temple rituals, and festive processions. The tour offers a unique immersion into Krishna’s birthplace, with highlights of local traditions, dances, and temple visits.
Day 1: Arrival in Mathura
Upon arrival in Mathura, you are transferred to their hotel for check-in. The afternoon is reserved for exploring the bustling streets of Mathura and visiting Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, the site believed to be Lord Krishna’s birthplace. Evening aarti (prayer ceremony) at the temple sets the tone for the sacred experience ahead.
Day 2: Vrindavan Temples and Early Janmashtami Celebrations
After breakfast, you travel to Vrindavan, known for its vibrant temples and association with Lord Krishna’s childhood. You visit iconic temples like Banke Bihari Temple, Prem Mandir, and ISKCON Temple, where Janmashtami celebrations are in full swing with devotional songs and rituals. In the afternoon, you can participate in Raas Leela performances that reenact stories from Krishna’s life. The day concludes with festive evening prayers and ceremonies at the temples.
Day 3: Janmashtami Festival – Celebrations and Midnight Rituals
The day is dedicated to Janmashtami celebrations, where you can witness and participate in various rituals, including dahi handi (pot-breaking), which symbolizes Krishna’s playful nature. The temples are adorned with lights, flowers, and grand decorations. In the evening, devotees gather for kirtans (devotional singing) and bhajans (devotional songs) as you await midnight, the auspicious hour of Krishna’s birth. Midnight rituals, accompanied by the chanting of mantras, create an atmosphere of deep devotion.
Day 4: Gokul Excursion and Departure
On the final day, you take a morning excursion to Gokul, where Krishna is believed to have spent his early years. Visits to important sites such as Nand Bhavan and Gokul Nath Temple offer insights into Krishna’s childhood. Afterward, you are transferred back to Mathura for their departure, marking the end of a spiritually enriching experience.
