Experience the vibrant culture, scenic landscapes, and spiritual heritage of Kullu Valley during the famous Kullu Dusshera festival. This 4-day tour offers a unique blend of festival celebrations, cultural immersion, and nature excursions, taking you through bustling fairgrounds, serene valleys, temples, and markets. Starting with a visit to the Dusshera festivities, where over 200 deities are celebrated, you'll explore Kullu's cultural highlights and nearby attractions, including Manikaran's hot springs and Kasol's serene beauty. Guided excursions to Naggar and Manali showcase local art, architecture, and natural wonders, providing a comprehensive taste of Himachal Pradesh's unique charm.

Arrive in Kullu, refresh and prepare for the day’s events.  Head to the main Kullu Dusshera festival grounds. Experience the colorful procession where local deities are carried to Dhalpur Maidan, marking the start of the festival. Take in traditional folk music, dance, and cultural performances that showcase Himachal Pradesh’s rich heritage. Spend time exploring the vibrant fairgrounds, lined with stalls selling handicrafts, food, and souvenirs. Enjoy the evening festivities, capturing the festival’s iconic scenes.

After breakfast, set out for an excursion to Manikaran (1.5-hour drive), a holy town renowned for its hot springs and religious significance to Hindus and Sikhs. Visit the Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara and nearby temples. Proceed to the scenic Kasol village, nestled along the Parvati River. Enjoy a leisurely lunch by the riverside and explore Kasol’s cafes, local shops, and serene pathways. Return to Kullu, with an evening free to revisit the Dusshera festival grounds and take in additional cultural events and performances.

Depart for Naggar (45-minute drive), a charming village known for its medieval Naggar Castle and scenic views. Explore the castle and Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery, where works by the Russian artist are displayed. Stroll through Naggar’s cobbled streets, soaking up the village’s old-world charm. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with views of the Beas River Valley. Post-lunch, you’ll have the chance to explore Tripura Sundari Temple, a beautiful structure exemplifying Himachali architecture.  Return to Kullu. Optionally, you can revisit the fairgrounds for final glimpses of the Kullu Dusshera celebrations as they begin to wind down.

Head to Manali (1-hour drive) for a half-day city tour. Visit Hadimba Devi Temple, known for its unique architecture, and Vashisht Hot Springs. A walk through Old Manali offers a look at local handicrafts and quaint cafés.  Tour concludes in Kullu with drop-off for departure.
